Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2, 2026

This page is maintained by the operators of The Cornelis Method to answer common privacy questions about the app. It describes current practices and is not a certification or legal advice. Contact us to request changes or clarifications.

1. Who we are

The Cornelis Method ("we", "us") provides a longevity and health maximization app that helps you track nutrition, training, recovery, biomarkers, and related health metrics.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: email address and authentication identifiers when you sign in.
  • Profile and biometrics: name, sex, age, height, weight, activity level, goals, and unit preferences you enter.
  • Health logs: food, water, exercise, sleep, supplement, medication, weight, adherence, and biomarker entries you create.
  • Uploads: meal photos and lab reports you submit for AI analysis.
  • Integrations: data you authorize us to sync from third parties such as Oura Ring.
  • Device data: standard technical logs (browser, approximate location from IP, timestamps) needed to operate the service.

3. How we use your data

  • Provide the core tracking, scoring, and coaching features.
  • Personalize calorie, macro, and pillar targets.
  • Generate AI insights from photos, labs, and history.
  • Send reminders you enable (medications, adherence, coach).
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug the service.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use your health data for advertising.

4. Storage and security

Account data and synced logs are stored on our managed backend (Lovable Cloud, powered by Supabase) with row-level security so each user can only read and write their own records. Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Some data (recent scans, offline settings) is also cached in your browser's local storage on the device you use.

5. Subprocessors

  • Lovable Cloud / Supabase (hosting, database, auth).
  • Lovable AI Gateway (AI photo, coach, and labwork analysis).
  • Open Food Facts (public product lookup by barcode).
  • Oura (only if you connect your ring).
  • Google (only if you sign in with Google).

6. Your choices

  • Edit or delete individual log entries at any time in-app.
  • Disconnect integrations from the Profile page to stop future syncing.
  • Request export or deletion of your account by emailing us at the address below.
  • Turn browser notifications off from your OS or browser settings.

7. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and logs from our production database; residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

8. Children

The Cornelis Method is not intended for children under 16. Do not create an account or submit data if you are under 16.

9. Not medical advice

The app provides educational information and self-tracking tools. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. Consult a qualified clinician before changing your diet, training, supplements, or medications.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
